Rosnay is a multi-generational family farm at 510 Rivers Road, Canowindra in NSW's Central West, farming organically and biodynamically since 1997. Their 20-hectare vineyard — planted with Mediterranean varieties including Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvedre, Carignan, Vermentino and Chardonnay — is powered by a solar microgrid and built from straw-bale structures, reflecting a genuine commitment to living lightly on the land. Wines are made preservative-free using wild-yeast fermentation, and the range extends to skin-contact whites, sparkling Pét Nat, fortified styles and a Fig & Honey Liqueur. The cellar door is open daily 11am–5pm; farmstay accommodation in the original homestead and glamping in the olive grove are available for a full farm immersion.
Yes. Rosnay converted to organic and biodynamic farming in 1997 and received the NSW Organic Pioneers Award in 2012. Their winemaking is also preservative-free and uses wild-yeast fermentation — no synthetic inputs in the vineyard or winery.
The range includes still reds (Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvedre blends, Carignan, Cinsault), whites (Vermentino, Chardonnay, Semillon), skin-contact and orange wines, sparkling Pét Nat, a fortified Ruby Red, and liqueurs such as Fig & Honey and Mistelle. Organic grape juice is also available.
