Family-owned and operated since 1996, Maddens Rise sits at the corner of Maroondah Highway and Maddens Lane in Coldstream, right in the heart of the Yarra Valley. The estate vineyard — planted to Pinot Noir (three clones), Chardonnay (two clones), Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Viognier and Nebbiolo — is farmed using organic and biological methods focused on soil health, low yields and hand-picking. Every wine is hand-made, reflecting a "pure expression of place," and the intimate cellar door has been welcoming visitors since 2010.
