About

Grancari Estate Wines is a certified organic, single-vineyard producer in Onkaparinga Hills SA, owned and managed by Rino and Greta Ozzella. The estate's history traces back to the early 1940s when George Cox first planted vines, and some of Grancari's Grenache bush vines are among the oldest remaining early Grenache plantings in the McLaren Vale region. Rino and Greta farm without chemicals, weedicides or pesticides — a conviction rooted in personal health and care for their neighbours — crafting three focused wines: an earthy, spicy old-vine Grenache; a rich, oak-aged Shiraz; and a light, vibrant Rosé. The cellar door welcomes visitors at 50 Northumberland Road, just 30 minutes south of Adelaide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Grancari Estate Wines certified organic?

Yes. Grancari is a fully certified organic winery. Rino and Greta Ozzella farm without chemicals, weedicides or pesticides, believing natural viticulture benefits both consumers and the surrounding community.

What wines does Grancari Estate produce?

Grancari makes three wines from its single certified organic vineyard: an old-vine Grenache with earthy, spicy plum and raspberry character; a Shiraz with ripe berry aromas aged in French oak; and a light, elegant Rosé. All are preservative-free by nature of the organic approach.

Where is Grancari Estate Wines located?

The estate is at 50 Northumberland Road, Onkaparinga Hills SA 5163 — approximately 30 minutes south of Adelaide, on the northern fringe of the McLaren Vale wine region.

How old are the Grancari Grenache vines?

The Grenache vines at Grancari trace back to plantings by George Cox in the early 1940s, making them some of the few remaining early Grenache plantings in the McLaren Vale region — a rare source of concentrated, complex fruit from very old bush vines.
